Thomas Thurston, a Portland-based data scientist and venture capitalist, will discuss how algorithms can be used to predict business success or failure. As CEO of Growth Science, he uses high-tech data modeling to help firms improve strategies and manage risks involving new companies and innovations. Michael Curry, assistant clinical professor at 麻豆传媒, will lead the group discussion.

Thurston is also a partner at WR Hambrecht Ventures, a board member at Ironstone Group, a member of the Harvard Business School Forum for Growth and Innovation, and a fellow at the Disruptor Foundation.

The Business Growth MAP Alliance brings together small businesses and entrepreneurs to learn from each other, industry experts and 麻豆传媒 faculty.
