Vancouver, Wash. - Due to the weather, the Center for Social and Environmental Justice research colloquium, scheduled for Jan. 18 at noon has been rescheduled for Jan. 31 at noon.
The Center for Social and Environmental Justice at Washington State University Vancouver presents a monthly series of faculty speakers giving informative short talks about their current research. January presentations will include:
- Brian N. Tissot, Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, "Community-based Fishery Management in Hawaii"
- Mark Stephan. Department of Political Science, "The Toxics Release Inventory: Motivating Pollution Reductions"
Presentations will be followed by discussion.
The CSEJ fosters collaborations between Âé¶¹´«Ã½ faculty, students and community partners to reduce racism, poverty and discrimination at the local, national and global levels through interdisciplinary community-based research, interdisciplinary curricular innovations, conferences, workshops, public events and media projects.
