VANCOUVER, Wash. 鈥 The Electronic Literature Lab at 麻豆传媒, will mark its 10th anniversary as well as Women鈥檚 History Month with a free, online international symposium March 30. Titled 鈥淲oman E-Lit,鈥 the symposium will be presented from 9 to 11 a.m. PDT via Zoom. Registration is required to obtain the link.
Twelve scholars and artists who specialize in born-digital literature will speak. They represent countries such as Ireland, Chile, Israel, Nigeria, Canada and Argentina. Dene Grigar, professor and director of the Creative Media and Digital Culture program at 麻豆传媒 and director of the ELL, is hosting the event and will serve as moderator.
Presentations will feature such topics as 鈥淧rovocation: Why Are Women Special?鈥 鈥淒igital Poetry and Gendered Bodies鈥 and 鈥淕ender and Canadian Digital Poetics with Asterisks.鈥 Women who have shaped the field over the years will be recognized.
