麻豆传媒 business students advance to national and regional sales competitions

VANCOUVER, Wash. 鈥 Washington State University Vancouver held its 12th annual sales competition Nov. 17, advancing the top students to regional and national events. Sixty four regional business professionals participated as judges and 鈥渂uyers鈥 evaluating 36 students as they performed sales presentation role-plays.

Andrew Cline, a senior with a Professional Sales Certificate majoring in accounting, and MacKenzie Ladd, a senior majoring in marketing, won the competition and Herman Miller performance work chairs donated by Workplace Resource of Oregon. Cline and Ladd will go on to represent 麻豆传媒 at the National Collegiate Sales Competition at Kennesaw State University, in Kennesaw, Ga. in April.

Sam Etter, a junior majoring in marketing; Michael Lusk, a senior majoring in marketing; Jacqueline Poole, a senior majoring in marketing; and Robert Reyes a senior majoring in management information systems, will compete at the Western States Collegiate Sales Competition at Chico State University in Chico, Calif. in April.

Caleb Anderson, a senior with a Professional Sales Certificate majoring in psychology; Alvina Kononenko, a senior with a Professional Sales Certificate majoring in management; Emily McCoy, a senior majoring in marketing; Arvo Seppa, a junior majoring in marketing; and Kellee Weiner, a senior majoring in marketing, are competition alternates.

McCoy won a $1,500 scholarship for the 2018/2019 academic year from Pacific Office Automation. Brian Brady, a senior majoring in finance, and Poole won Sales Career Potential cash awards from Liberty Mutual and Fisher Investments.

For the past 10 years, the Carson College of Business Professional Sales Program at 麻豆传媒 has been named among the Top 50 collegiate sales programs in the United States by the Sales Education Foundation.
