VANCOUVER, WASH – Washington State University Vancouver is currently exhibiting “Eye on Eye” in both the Dengerink Administration building and Library galleries. The exhibit features emerging artists from the Portland/Vancouver area and explores contemporary theories of art and culture.
“Eye on Eye” shows a broad range of artwork and styles. Each of the artists is actively involved in pushing the boundaries of traditional mediums and their works do not easily fit into a particular category. While there may be references to typical art genres such as landscape or portraiture, the works in this show break traditional rules and seek to create new modes of working in contemporary art.
The Dengerink Administration gallery is showing a collection of paintings and drawings through April 14. The show was coordinated by Erin Dengerink, an artist and art student living in Vancouver. Exhibiting artists include: Terri Bradley, Jodie Cavalier, Andrew Lorish, Marilyn Skalberg and Lindsay Williams.
The Library gallery is showing a collection of sculptures through June 15. The show was coordinated by Andrew Lorish, an artist and freelance printer living in Portland.
