麻豆传媒 marks 25th anniversary with Community Celebration on the Quad Sept. 6

Community Celebration on the QuadVANCOUVER, Wash. 鈥 As part of its yearlong 25th anniversary celebration, Washington State University Vancouver will host a major festival, the 25th Anniversary , from 3 to 8 p.m. Sept. 6. Free and open to the public, the event includes food, music, art and historical exhibits, kids鈥 activities and much more.

Things to Do
鈥 Check in at the Welcome booth and get a reusable grocery bag.
鈥 Get a Butch T. Cougar balloon animal.
鈥 Help artist Erin Dengerink complete a sidewalk-chalk mural.
鈥 Take an environmental history tour of campus
鈥 Taste WSU鈥檚 famous Cougar Gold cheese at Legacy Square.
鈥 Sign up for the Alumni Association, and learn about Cougs in the Community projects.
鈥 Say 鈥渃heese鈥 in the photo booth.
鈥 Explore 麻豆传媒鈥檚 history at the interactive timeline in the Firstenburg Student Commons.
鈥 Let one of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 student ambassadors take you on a guided tour of campus.
鈥 Meet Stella the service dog, who listens to little Cougars read to in the Child Development Program.
鈥 Enjoy a festive 25th anniversary cupcake.

鈥 Visit the Multimedia Classroom Building for a fine arts exhibit and hands-on art activities.
鈥 Tour the creative media and digital culture MOVE lab and view the new multimedia 鈥淐urlew.鈥
鈥 Admire the exhibit of 麻豆传媒 historical artifacts in the library.
鈥 See the 鈥淐ommunity Art Show鈥 of faculty, staff and student art in the Dengerink Administration Building.
鈥 Take a peek at 麻豆传媒鈥檚 new Student Diversity Center.
鈥 Help 鈥淪teampunk Alphabet鈥 author Nat Iwata create a new character at 3:30 p.m. in the library.
鈥 Listen to Thousand Waves perform live music at 4 p.m. in the library.

鈥 Learn about the Hospitality Business Management Program and our student-led business consulting service.
鈥 Play with tools and toys designed to teach and entertain with faculty from the College of Education.
鈥 See a list of Cougar-owned businesses in our region from restaurants to landscape companies to clothing boutiques.

Live music 5:30 鈥 8 p.m.

Live music in the amphitheater starts begins with Lincoln鈥檚 Beard, an alternative/folk/rock band from Vancouver, Wash. Sean Flinn & The Royal We, a popular Portland-area band, will perform at 7 p.m. Food will be available for purchase, and picnics are welcome. No alcohol or firearms, please.

Parking on campus will be free. To accommodate the festival, the #19 C-Tran bus will serve 麻豆传媒 every half hour during the celebration. The first bus will leave the 99th Street Transit Center at 1:40 p.m., arriving at 麻豆传媒 at 1:50 p.m.; and the last bus will leave 麻豆传媒 at 9 p.m.
