麻豆传媒 presents panel on the impacts of proposed fossil fuel terminals on Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest

VANCOUVER, Wash. 鈥 Washington State University Vancouver will host a panel discussion titled 鈥淗olding the 鈥楾hin Green Line:鈥 From Dirty Fossil Fuels to a Carbon Neutral Future鈥 on April 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Dengerink Administration Building, Room 129. The event is free and open to the public.

Activists and community leaders who are working to keep the Pacific Northwest from becoming an export corridor for fossil fuels will talk about the history and future of organizing efforts and what鈥檚 at stake in the struggle to maintain the region鈥檚 reputation for environmental awareness.

Panelists are Wilbur Slockish Jr., hereditary chief of the Klickitat; Cager Clabaugh, vice president of ILWU Local 4; Emerald Engrum, member of Portland Rising Tide; Alona Steinke, RN; and Roben White, Clark County activist and organizer.

A reception will follow. Local environmental groups will be on hand with information.
